The Wylie Veterinary Centre

We are a large, independent, companion animal practice, employing over 100 hand-picked Wylie people! Together we offer our clients and patients ‘Certificate-level veterinary care’. We are committed to caring for our staff, our patients, client and our environment.
We embarked in our sustainability journey in 2019 and were somewhat stopped by Covid at first but we did not get discouraged and started to make small steps towards reducing our carbon footprint.
The biggest impact was to change the way we perform anaesthetics and reduce our use of polluting gas when possible. We also worked hard on our recycling processes and reducing greatly the single use items in our day to day work.
In the first instance, we reduce our carbon footprint by two thirds and managed to obtain our green accreditation the first time! Our proudest achievement is to see the whole team taking part in our sustainable mission.
