Bishopton Veterinary Group LLP was established in 1943 in the beautiful cathedral city of Ripon, North Yorkshire. Starting out as a single vet, traditional farm practice, it has since grown into a thriving 39 vet practice, covering all aspects of veterinary work. We are proud of our independent ownership, being a founder member of XLVets, which is a collaborative group of progressive, independently owned veterinary practices. We have a strong reputation for delivering a high standard of healthcare to a wide variety of species, with many of our team having further professional qualifications and advanced practitioner status.
Our main site at Ripon is an RCVS accredited Small Animal Hospital, providing 24hr emergency care, routine veterinary work and referral services for pets in a number of disciplines. There are four small animal branches at Pateley Bridge, Northallerton, Thirsk and Easingwold. The farm practice is also based from our main site, with an additional branch at York, enabling delivery of routine herd health and ambulatory work across a large area of North Yorkshire, with a focus on preventive healthcare and helping our clients achieve their sustainable production goals. Our pig team offer herd health consultancy and training to commercial pig farms across the UK. Bishopton Equine Veterinary Services operate from a purpose-built site close to Ripon and a branch at Middleham, and deliver equine services to owners, trainers and breeders. BEVS share their site with RAFT Solutions, a sister company which was established in 2010 to provide innovative research, advanced breeding, consultancy and training to farmers, vets and industry in the area of sustainable health and welfare.
