The Swinton Estate
RiponThe Swinton Estate is situated close to the market town of Masham in Wensleydale, North Yorkshire. It extends from the River Ure across 20,000 acres of rural hill farming countryside up onto the moorland Yorkshire Dales, where it borders the National Park.
About two thirds of the land is farmland and forestry with one third open moorland. The majority of the Estate sits within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
In recent years much of our time has been spent developing tourism and leisure activities on the Estate and we have become known as one of Yorkshire’s leading hotel, spa and glamping destinations.
Our ongoing commitment across the Estate has led us to continually improve our sustainable and environmental position with the overall aim to make Swinton a better place for all to enjoy.
